The frozen white north will be Too Darn Hot
I am a woman of action.
I says to myself, says I, “I am done with school and starting a real job, which means I get to start My Life(tm) and will have both the independence and the money to do so.”
I says to myself, says I, “I want to be Ann Miller. I want to feel smokin‘, instead of abandoned and unloved. I told the folks in the blogosphere that I was going to learn to tap dance.”
I says to myself, says I, “Since it is time to begin My Life(tm), I will start by doing what I said I would do.”
So I sent in my registration for tap lessons, which means (assuming the class isn’t full) that I will begin learning to tap dance on Monday, September 10. Too darn hot.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY tap dance! I had an opportunity to take tap dancing lessons last year but I chickened out.
That’s very exciting. I’ve always wanted to learn some dance.
Also, I had Kiss Me Kate on the other day, too. I had never seen it and actually ended up taking (one of my) naps during it, but I did catch that scene. And the song immediately started playing in my head.
Ann Miller has some great scenes in “On the Town” with Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Vera Ellen. Clarifies why Andy Rooney called her “The girl with the best legs this side of heaven!”
Yes John, exactly. I want to be the girl with the best legs this side of heaven. Then all the men will want me, but I’ll only take the ones who love me for my intellect too. :D
